Championship Results

Congrats to the inaugural Final Table Champion, David Moss (dcm03). He was able to survive the field and take the title and really only had one scare along the way. His stack almost took a critical blow in an early call to JAY LITT's all in. JAY showed his AQ to dcm03's A4 in a pre-flop showdown. The flop gave both of them top pair with an ace, but JAY LITT had best kicker. Fortunately for the future champ, the turn spiked a four and the river didn't improve either hand.

A key run of hands built dcm03's chip stack considerably as he caught AA, KK, and AK in three straight hands. The heads up match at the end brought him up against IsItJorK and lasted about 10 hands. dcm03 showed his pocket jacks on the final hand with IsItJorK showing an A. The board came rags and Moss took the title. Congrats to the top five finishers (shown in the column to the right).

I hope everyone enjoyed the season and as I mentioned at the tourney, season II will begin on May 3rd. Priority registration will be given to current players until April 15th, after that it will be open to new registrants. I already know of at least four new people that would like to sign up, so if you want to keep your spot be sure to respond quickly once I send out the new season information.
